Trust & verification

We label exactly what we've checked

Most platforms show a single "verified" tick. Medoc shows you four levels, so you know whether a profile was copied from public data or cross-checked against the medical register.

Medoc is a discovery platform, not an official registry. You can always confirm a doctor's registration on the NMC Indian Medical Register.

Frequently asked questions

Can't find your answer? Write to hello@medoc.in.

Is Medoc a hospital or a doctor?
No. Medoc is a healthcare discovery platform. We help you find and compare information about healthcare providers. We do not provide medical care or advice.
What does "Registration Verified" mean?
It means Medoc has checked the professional registration details on the profile against an appropriate authoritative register. It does not rate the quality of care.
Is Medoc free for patients?
Yes. Searching, comparing and contacting providers is free.
How do providers get listed?
Providers can list their practice for free, or claim an existing listing. Every submission is reviewed before it is published.
How do I book an appointment on Medoc?
Open a doctor or clinic profile and choose Book appointment. Pick a date and time, then send it on WhatsApp or ask for a call back. The provider confirms with you directly, and Medoc never charges a booking fee.
Can I consult a doctor online?
Yes. Video consultation lists doctors who consult online, with their fees and languages. You book with the doctor, who shares the video link. Video consultations are not suitable for emergencies.
Can I ask a doctor a health question for free?
Yes. With a free account you can use Ask a Doctor. Your question is shown without your name, and doctors listed on Medoc answer it. Answers are general information, not a diagnosis.
How do I know if a doctor is genuine?
Look at the verification badge on each profile. Registration Verified means Medoc checked the doctor's registration against an official register. You can also search the NMC Indian Medical Register yourself.
Is my information shared with anyone?
When you send an enquiry or booking request, your name, phone number and message go to that provider so they can respond. See our Privacy policy for full details.
What should I do in a medical emergency?
Call 108 for an ambulance or go to the nearest hospital emergency department. Do not wait for a reply to an online enquiry or question.
